Obsidian Dune Crest

Silver sand curving under a midnight sky.

Nature artwork in a wide 16:9 frame, featuring obsidian, dune and crest.

Story note

Obsidian Dune Crest turns a desert into something close to black and white: one silver dune curving under a dark sky. The fine grain of the sand rewards a sharp, high-resolution screen. It works as a calm, almost monochrome background for a busy workday.

Specs

Resolution: 2912 × 1632 pixels (High Resolution)
Aspect ratio: 16:9 (wide)
File size: 1.0 MB JPEG
Fits: 16:9 Mac displays such as iMac 24-inch, Studio Display and Pro Display XDR fit it edge to edge. MacBook Air and MacBook Pro screens are closer to 16:10, so macOS trims a thin strip from the sides. macOS scales it up on Retina displays, so it looks softer than native on 4.5K to 6K screens.
